Swati Khandare is 24 years old trainee. And she has completed her graduation in commerce.  Swati Khandare is staying with family, her father is very old and he is having health issues. And her mother is also having too many health issues. She has one sister who is studying in a school, she has one brother and sister in law but they both are staying separately. She was totally dependent and had no choice to take any decision for her own future or for any little thing about herself.

• Why there was a need for intervention: Her mother is a domestic worker. She is the only earning member of her family. Her mother was always upset due to financial problem. We found her helpless and lost her confidence. She never had a courage to fight with  situations. Therefore, intervention was necessary.
• Challenges/problems faced by the beneficiary before intervention:Due to financial problem, She faces many ups and downs. She wants to do something in her life. Her mother’s  monthly income is Rs. 8,000, and was very difficult to survive on this small amount for a whole month.
• How TMF supported the beneficiary:We identified her family issues during regular interaction. Then staff members  had decided to give her individual attention. We used to give her counseling. We have motivated her to become an independent person. We have given special attention in developing soft skill in her.
• Change in the life of the beneficiary (please mention the positive changes in his/her life that has happened because of TMF’s intervention): Swati has become financially independent. In the beginning she was not coming out of her own shell. But now She has developed professional qualities and now she became more responsible and very much confident. She supports her family financially.  
• Quotes (quotes from beneficiary where he/she talks about the positive change in his/her life): Swati is feeling better, she is grateful to Shield Foundation and Tech Mahindra Foundation for giving her an opportunity to learn ITES (information Technology Enable Services) Course and gave her job placement. She has placed in Tech Mahindra BPO in Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
• Quotes from Project head/supervisor/staff (quotes depicting the support TMF provided to the beneficiary):Swati was a very sincere student. Her employer has given the feedback that she is very sincere, productive in her work and very punctual. Also, they said her communication is very impressive.

• Now (after TMF’s intervention), how does the beneficiary envisage his/her future: She thinks that she wants make career in this field only.  She is very much happy in BPO Sector. She aimed to take a leading position in this current company.  She is not thinking for further studies as she completed her graduation. Now she just wants to make money and support her family.  She is sending her friends to this SMART Center for training. She thinks that this SMART Training center is the key to a bright future. Because here we get the knowledge, skills which we can use for our whole life as best career.
