Beneficiary’s Past (please include details that depict beneficiary’s background, including where he/she lives, socio-economic conditions, family and work details):Aafreen Bano is 21 years old trainee. She has failed in H.S.C. Afreen is staying with her parents. Her father is construction worker. And her mother is Home Maker. She has three sisters and one brother. She has born and brought up in Dharavi, Mumbai. She belongs to Muslim Community.
Why there was a need for intervention: Her mother is a home maker. And her father works as a construction worker. Her mother was always upset due to financial problems. She wanted to support her family financially, but she is not getting the opportunity. Therefore, our intervention was necessary.
Challenges/problems faced by the beneficiary before intervention:Aafreen Bano is 21 years old trainee. She has failed in H.S.C so her parents was very upset with her. They told her to get married. When she heard this she got depressed and she decided to complete her education from her own money. She has three sisters and one brother. She wants to become independent financially. She was searching job everywhere. She was depressed due to financial problems. She wants to do something in her life. Her father’s monthly income was Rs.10,000, and it was very difficult to survive on this small amount a whole month.
How TMF supported the beneficiary:She was poor in studies. She has always queries related to the course. We used to clear her all the doubts. We have given special attention in developing soft skills & improving English language. Trainers have prepared her for interviews and had given her hand holding while dealing with her workplace problems.
Change in the life of the beneficiary (please mention the positive changes in his/her life that has happened because of TMF’s intervention): Afreen Bano has become financially independent. She has developed professional qualities and has become more responsible. Her standard of living has been changed. Her communication has improved. She is very much confident now.

Currently she is working in Burger Kingas a front desk in Billing Process and getting 11,000/- monthly. Travelling allowance Rs.1000/- and Incentive Rs. 2000. She is happy and set up an example to his family and society.

She also aims to become a senior in that company. She likes her profession very much. She is suggesting her all friends to join this SMART Center.
